Daemon<\/strong> es la palabra latina del griego antiguo daimon (\u03b4\u03b1\u03af\u03bc\u03c9\u03bd: ‘dios’, ‘divinidad’, ‘poder’, ‘destino’). La palabra original griega antigua \u03b4\u03b1\u03af\u03bc\u03c9\u03bd daim\u014dn no tiene connotaciones negativas, sino que denota un esp\u00edritu o poder divino, como el genio o el numen latinos. La concepci\u00f3n griega de daim\u014dn aparece sobre todo en las obras de Plat\u00f3n, donde describe la inspiraci\u00f3n divina de S\u00f3crates. Los t\u00e9rminos griegos no tienen ninguna connotaci\u00f3n de maldad o malevolencia.
